[Ticker] EU Commission steps up probe into Hungary's NGO law

The European Commission on Wednesday took a further step with the probe into Hungary's recently adopted NGO laws, which would require groups receiving funds from outside Hungary to be labelled as "foreign-funded" and an additional registration - or face closure. The EU executive argues that the law breaks EU rules on free movement of capital, and violates the right to freedom of association.
