NASA has again been bowled over by a picture by Czech photographer Petr Horálek. The US space agency published his “Perseids from Perseus”, a night multi-exposure of a meteor shower taken from a meadow by an observatory in Eastern Slovakia in 2018; processing the image took almost two years.
An exhibition of artists who have responded to some kind of political oppression in their work is currently underway at the National Czech and Slovak Museum and Library in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
