More Physical, Legal Barriers for EU-Bound Migrants

Migrants are building up on the Greek border now that Macedonia has followed other Balkan countries in allowing only Syrians, Iraqis, and Afghans to file asylum claims. At least 18 Macedonian police were injured in a rock-throwing melee outside the Greek village of Idomeni on 28 November, as the migrants' anger boiled over at what the Irish Times calls an apparent reaction to the sight of razor wire and posts meant for Macedonia's new border fence.
