Baltic Gas Pipeline Under Fire

Poland has taken the lead in fighting German plans for a second Baltic gas pipeline, accusing its neighbor of bypassing Ukraine's energy network and defying European efforts to reduce dependence on Russian energy. Poland, along with Hungary, Slovakia and other Eastern European countries, want to stop Germany's plans to build a second gas corridor alongside the existing Nord Stream undersea Baltic route, the Financial Times reported .
