Central Europe countries impose tighter border controls

Refugees who had arrived on foot from the Salzburg train station in Austria sit under trees in a parking lot after they crossed the border to Germany at Freilassing. Germany cut its train link with the Austrian city of Salzburg on Wednesday , shutting down the main route into its territory for tens of thousands of people caught in Europe's worst migration crisis in decades.
